Patrizia must go to Paris to be at the bedside of her seriously injured lover. All the flights are full and she forgot her credit card.
People behind her are getting impatient, especially Frank on his way to do a business deal with French Albert Albert of “Albert Delicatessen”. From then on, Patrizia and Frank will meet from time to time on their ways to their diverging destinies, only sharing the tough hardships that await them and that will change their lives.
Director Franziska Buch paces her film with strong emotions and humor in a very well written script. Gérard Jugnot makes us laugh with his delectable glibness playing opposite an attractive yet sober Hans Werner-Meyer. Sandrine Bonnaire measures her character’s anger, pain and compassion with superb talent opposite the grief stricken mistress excellently portrayed by Jessica Schwarz.
Through her judicious choice of seasoned actors whom she remarkably directs, the filmmaker achieves a very well balanced film that takes us into the captivating complex universe of its characters.
